Fo’ Shizzle

Sigh.

I received my first spam postings within about 2 days of installing WordPress.  I nuked them, and installed the ReCaptcha plugin.  It seemed to be working fine, but this morning I found three more spam postings.  How do they do that?

I am thinking that either there is a flaw in ReCaptcha and/or its WordPress plugin, or else  spammers are actually outsourcing ReCaptcha solving to humans, somewhere.  How crazy would that be?  Who buys something from an obvious spam comment that has nothing to do with the post?  Why is this a viable economic model for anyone?

I guess I’m having a bad hair day.  I do need a haircut…

I took the kid over to the neighbor’s house today for the morning carpool to Farm Camp.  My neighbor said “Hey, you look kinda like Jack Nicholson!”

Aw, man…  I had to ask: “Jack Nicholson in The Shining or As Good As It Gets?”  She gave me a noncommittal answer.  I think I’d better start wearing a hat when I go out in public.

All throughout the summer, I constantly see people riding multi-gear bikes in high gear, no matter what.  I watch them struggle up hills and can’t help but wonder what they think all those other sprockets are for.
